Hey Randy
I’d really like to be able to connect my Xbox360 to the internet without running a wire across the whole room. Would it be possible to get some information about a wireless network setup I could install in my home.
Thanks for your help

Hello Robert,
Thanks for taking interest in the site. I know for a fact that it is possible to implement a wireless network setup for the Xbox 360. I will do some research and I’ll try to upload a guide very soon.
Thanks again,
Randy

read some wireless N evaluation, most of the older Linksys units were bad,
what about the newer ones, WET310N, ETC?

Hello Robert,
Thanks for posting.
Here is a site that rates some of the top routers.
http://compnetworking.about.com/od/wirelessrouters/tp/80211nprenhome.htm
I couldn’t find anything on a WET310N. Did you mean the WRT310N?
As for the WRT310N I’ve read some reviews about it. It operates at the 2.4GHz and 5.2Ghz frequencies. The WRT310N has fairly good signal strength and range. Apparently it is quite easy to setup, though I have never personally tried this model most Linksys routers I’ve setup have been easy to work with.
Here’s a link to some more technical information about wireless n technology.

I hope this helps you.

I am a representative of CXtec, a leading retailer of new and pre-owned networking equipment. After researching your website, I believe it is an excellent resource for consumers seeking network needs.

I am setting up a wireless system in a 30000 sq’ building. The current equipment is a dlink dir655 and 2 dwl2100ap. The remote ap is connected to a switch that is used for an NComputing system with 10 terminals.
My problem is that the system is extremely slow and the remote end and seems to sometimes drop and then pick up again.
I have the feeling that the equipment is just not powerful enough. If that is true, what is a ( hopefully fairly inexpensive) remedy. I still have another NComputing lab to set up and we have offices in the remote area. The wireless is also set up on 2 different floors.
Hope you can help

Hi! I am a 55 year old female that has been around since the beginning of computers as we know them. I really got to know them while attending college. I have done many things with computers, from building them to repairing them. However, I don’t consider myself to be a real computer geek.
My project now is to network my desktop computer and two laptops for a home office wireless combination. I want to share an internet connection, printers and files. I am confused since I started all this with my desktop and then added laptops and printers. I am really trying hard, but think I have undertaken too much. One problem is to learn how to tell which network I am supposed to use since the computers are finding all wireless networks. I am finding about 10 networks, but I just don’t know what to do next. If my common sense is correct, the correct network is the one my desktop computer first used. If this is correct, please let me know so I can finish this project without turning completely gray!
I have found the information on your website good and useful - at least to the point where I get lost. The obvious is sometimes not too obvious to me and I second guess myself. All this is magnified by my efforts to live with multiple sclerosis (MS). MS means I live in a stressful situation, am always tired, and just trying to survive. Now, I don’t want any pity, just a bit of empathy and understanding to make reaching my goals a bit easier.
I hope you answer this for me since I am frustrated to the max right now. I promise not to pester you, but I could really use a friendly person to give me either the information I need or tell me where to find it.
Thanks so much. I have a bachelor’s degree in business, so if you need help with anything to do with business, then ask away! I do business consulting all the time, so maybe I can help you in some way.
Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you.

I am having trouble getting my wirless connection to connect to the internet. This is all new to me and having a lot of trouble making this work. My wireless adapter is a ENCORE ENUWI-G2 with a Linksys WRT54G2 router. The router is working fine. I just can’t get the adapter to connect.
